We proudly announce that Munitus has designed, produced and successfully performed burglary-resistant tests for sash windows, following EN 1627:2011 + A1: 2021 (EN 1628; 1629; 1630) standards for RC3
level in one of the most prestigious test laboratories in PfB Rosenheim, Germany.
According to this EN1627:2021 standard, the windows have to withstand three types of tests:
The first test, EN 1628, measures resistance under static lauding to measure the overall mechanical strength of the window. During this test, windows were pressed at many points with 6 kilo Newton power on the frame and the glass. Also, the same test is performed, trying to lift the sash window.
The second test, EN 1629, measures resistance to dynamic lauding and assesses the resistance level to physical attack without using tools, such as kicking or shoulder barging and attacking all parts of the windows.
The third test, EN 1630, is a manual burglary attempt, which gauges the ability of the door to withstand attempts at forced entry using a selection of tools over a stipulated period (5 minutes pure breaking time, total test time 20 minutes).
We are proud that our designed and produced sash windows, with dimensions higher than 3 meters, withstood all those attempts, and now we can place into the market secure sash windows of such huge dimensions, which quality is tested and approved in Germany, PfB Rosenheim laboratory.
